Building a Business!

                                                     

Yesterday the students learned all about how to create a successful business from business owner,  Zack Simonsen,. He covered topics from preparing a resume and interviewing to building a clientele to using social media for marketing. The students learned a lot and can't wait to put what they learned into action! Thanks for they great class Zack!

Hands-on Corrective Color Class

Our students were able to participate in a hands-on color class. So much fun and learning going on over here! Watch for before and after photos of the model soon! 

Dress Work Contest Winner

The students had the opportunity to participate in a dress work up-do contest. They were each  given the same look to use as inspiration and then judged based on certain criteria. Our winner was LAURA WOOD. I sat down with a Laura to ask her a few questions and find out more about her. 

Q: Why do you love the beauty industry? 

"I love that my business can be about making people good about themselves and not just about looking good.  

Q: What is your favorite product to use and why? 

"I love to use Densite by Loreal Professional. It is something I can use on every client. I usually put it on damp hair after I shampoo them and it helps to add texture and body. 

Q: What is your favorite thing you have learned in beauty school so far? 

"I have learned that there is more than one way to do things. You learn how to do the basics and then find what works best for you."
